About Masters Swim

Open to anyone 18 and older. Each week focuses on a different element — sprints, mid-distance, or stroke technique — so practices stay varied and purposeful.
This is group coaching, not private instruction. Swimmers should be comfortable with basic technique in all four strokes before joining, and able to swim at least four laps of freestyle.

Giuliana Franco

MASTER'S SWIM INSTRUCTOR
Coach Giuliana grew up in Southern California and started competitive club swimming at age 5. She trained as an LA County Junior Lifeguard, swam four years of varsity in high school, and went on to swim collegiately in both West Virginia and New York. At 14, she started her own swim business and she’s still running it today. Over the years she’s coached swimmers of every kind: infants, competitive athletes, adults, swimmers with special needs, and triathletes, including Ironman athletes. She’s coached for a competitive club team, run a special needs swim program, and now leads this Master’s program. When she’s not coaching, she’s training for her next triathlon, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
