Zack Schab
Coach Zack Schab brings 14 years of competitive swimming experience and more than a decade of coaching experience to the pool. A four-year varsity swimmer, Zack was a seven-time individual Washington State placer, the 2007 Washington State Champion in the 100 Freestyle, and a 2007 High School All-American. He continued his swimming career on an athletic scholarship at Concordia University Irvine, where he specialized in sprint freestyle and the 200 Butterfly. Zack has served as head coach at Selah, East Valley, and Naches Valley High Schools. During his eight-year high school coaching career, he coached two individual state champions at Selah and a state championship relay team at East Valley. He also spent six years as head coach of the Selah Dolphins. Outside of coaching, Zack has worked for the City of Selah for nearly nine years, including the past seven years as Recreation Director. He and his wife have been married since 2014 and are blessed with three beautiful children. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s golfing, exploring the mountains, or visiting the ocean. While Zack is passionate about swimming and athletics, his greatest goal as a coach is to build better humans. Helping athletes become better swimmers is simply a bonus.
